Yara has gone under the knife and is proud of it. In April 2020 during part 1 of the season 8 tell-all she revealed she had gotten a rhinoplasty to fix her nose, saying that before it looked like a "potato." In August 2022 she went to fellow costar Angela Deem's plastic surgeon, Michael K. Obeng for to get more work done. "I got a breast lift and implants because as you know guys, I breastfed for 17 months — straight, no water, no formula, nothing. So I was, really need help [sic]," she revealed via her Instagram Stories. "No matter what I do, I get judged so often. But I did it and I'm happy that I did it. If I will care which everybody think about me, I will get freaking crazy [sic]."

On her YouTube channel, Zara maintains that her healthy diet, even while pregnant, makes it easy to stay in shape. "I was trying to not eat for two," she explained. "I was trying to eat just for one." In another post, her husband, Jovi, told a fan that Yara had put them on a "chicken and fish diet." Yara loves green smoothies, blending together pineapple, spinach, cucumber, parsley, and milk in her Ninja. She also starts every morning with a glass of water with lemon. Her breakfast consists of low-calorie bread, eggs, avocado, cream cheese, and smoked salmon or waffles made with protein powder, coconut milk, and coconut oil spray. 

Yara runs a "minimum three miles, maximum five miles per day," she says in the same video. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.  

In another YouTube Video, Yara notes that staying in shape is much more than just good genes. "Yeah, burpees and salads are such good genetics," she jokes, showing off her 45-second burpees.

In her video discussing her workout, Yara reveals that she wears an Apple Watch to make sure she achieves her goals and stays motivated. "I was like, 'I have to close the circle,'" she explains.
