Recently, Anthony was open about his feelings regarding Jalen Brunson’s choice to forego a substantial sum of money to support the New York Knicks. In an edition of Paul George’s “Podcast P,” Anthony fielded questions concerning Brunson’s $156 million, four-year contract, which came with a $113 million pay cut in exchange for increased salary flexibility for the Knicks.

Jalen Brunson has been one of the main faces of the New York Knicks over the last few seasons in the NBA. Notably, Brunson was in attendance for the game between the New York Mets and New York Yankees. Interestingly, another star who is well known in the city is the NY Yankees’ Aaron Judge who sent a positive message to Brunson and also gave him a signed pair of cleats.
As per reports the “message” Judge passed on to Brunson was, “Keep running the city!” after he gave him his signed cleats. In addition, Brunson’s fame in New York is understandable as he just finished an incredible season in which he shot 40.1% from three-point range and 47.9% from the field in 77 games to average 28.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game.
On the contrary, Judge is one of the considerable recognized players in New York as well. The 32-year-old has played for the Yankees for his whole nine-year career. Also, Brunson receiving this type of “special” treatment from Judge speaks a lot about his game and popularity in the city.
