The MVP debate has gathered a lot of pace in recent weeks. There are great candidates for the award throughout the league. Two of those candidates are from the same team.
The Miami Dolphins’ QB-WR duo of Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill are in the MVP discussions as both these players are having phenomenal seasons. The Miami-based team is 9-3 through 13 weeks of the season and is in prime position to claim the number one seed in the AFC.
Hill is having one of the best receiving seasons in the history of the league. He has already racked up close to 1,500 receiving yards and is on pace to break the 2,000 receiving yards mark this season. His QB Tagovailoa has been a major reason for his dynamic receiver’s success this season as the duo has connected for 12 touchdowns. However, Hill recently claimed that he would rather have Tagovailoa win the MVP award and said that “it’s a quarterback award.”
There's been numerous times, before I even started playing football, that guys have been making plays, having great seasons (without being named MVP)--It's a quarterback award, we all know that. I'd be happier if Tua won.Hill told the reporters
A wide receiver has never won the league MVP in the history of the league. Hill, though, is a worthy candidate to have in the MVP debate.
The wideout so far this season has 1,481 yards and 12 touchdowns. His QB, Tagovailoa, has thrown for 3,457 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions and has a rating of 106.0. Both these players will look to finish the season on a high.
Tyreek Hill claims that he can beat Usain Bolt in a 60m sprint
The Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill is in his athletic prime. The 29-year-old receiver is one of the fastest athletes in the world and he knows it. So it was not a surprise when he challenged the best sprinter in the history of sports, Usain Bolt, to a 60m sprint and claimed that he could beat him.
I've seen recent photos of Usain Bolt, and he's so out of shape--He got a lil' beer belly. I can beat him. I really believe I could get him in a 60, though, if I really put my mind to it and train. But definitely 40, though. Forty? I got him all day.Hill on a recent episode of Robert Griffin III‘s podcast
The Dolphins’ receiver was clocked running the 40-yard dash in 4.29 seconds during his pro day in 2016. So far this season, Hill has shown his full potential and has had a tremendous season so far. Hill vs. Bolt will be a fun battle to witness.
