Fatal car vs. pedestrian crash in Boise: 27-year-old man identified as victim

Around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning Boise Police responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash near the intersection of Cloverdale Rd. and W. Briarwood Dr.

Ada County Paramedics responded to the scene, but the pedestrian died of his injuries at the scene. The Ada County Coroner has identified the pedestrian as 27-year-old Aldin Ekic of Meridian. Initial investigation of the scene reportedly indicates that the driver was heading south on Cloverdale Rd. when she struck Ekic, who police say was walking in the southbound lanes of traffic.

The collision occurred south of the Briarwood intersection. The investigation is ongoing, according to Boise Police, but no charges have been filed at this time.
