Dixie doesn't break a sweat daily. "Even though I would love to work out every day and be in the best shape of my life, I don't always have the time," she told People. However, she does try and prioritize her mental health. "Being able to focus on my mental health and feel better that way, I've seen such a huge change in my life and just how I am as a person."
Despite her busy schedule of filming and studio sessions, Dixie makes time for "breathing" exercises, she told People. "I need to breathe, and breathing has really helped me a lot with everything I've done. For a long time, I thought it was kind of silly and a waste of time, but now it's a huge part of my life." In a TikTok video she also revealed that she uses the app Breathwrk. "I love using it to help control my breathing when I'm in a really anxious moment," she said.
Dixie, along with her sister Charlie and mother Heidi, work out with trainer-to-the-stars Ben Bruno. In a recent TikTok video, the family can be seen working out together, doing a variety of strength and weight training exercises.
Obviously, like Addison Rae and other TikTok stars, one way that Dixie stays in shape on a daily basis is by dancing, a great aerobic exercise. "The guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. But even small amounts of physical activity are helpful. Being active for short periods of time throughout the day can add up to provide health benefits," says the Mayo Clinic.
Dixie is an athlete. According to PopBuzz she played hockey for the King Vikings Varsity Field Hockey Team, ran track and cross country and played on her school's lacrosse team. "For a skater, it's really important to have strong hips, glutes, quadriceps and hamstrings. And, so, we'll do a lot of unilateral work," Athletic performance specialist Shawn Vinz tells the Mayo Clinic.
